Three loving sisters - corn, beans & squash - grew up together in harmony. The eldest was tall and graceful with golden hair. The second loved to twine about the eldest and lean on her for support. The youngest dressed in green rambled at their feet protecting her sisters with shade from the hot sun. When the moon is low and the glowing stars light the summer nights, the three sisters come forth in human form dressed in their green garments, decorated with blossoms. They dance together in the shadows, sing to Mother Earth, praise Father Sun and whisper words of comfort to all.
